  • What's the difference between boarding and sitting?
Home boarding is when your dog stays at my home with me, my family and our dog Milo. Dog & House Sitting is when I stay at YOUR home and look after your dog and home.
  • Are you licensed to home board?
Yes. I am licensed with Wigan Council, licence number is AAL0154.
  • Can I come and look around your home before I decide to book with you?
For the safety and security of any dog guests, and that of my family, we don't have clients visiting our home.
  • What happens in an emergency?
As part of our Licensing Agreement, we must have an emergency plan in place which covers events such as fire, loss of heating, water and electricity. You must provide details of an emergency contact who can make decisions on your behalf, and if necessary, take over the care of your dog. If your dog needs veterinary care, we will always use your own registered vet, or in an emergency, we will use our designated vet practice if it is closer.

  • What do I need to provide when my dog stays with you?
Everything that your dog needs for their stay, including bedding, toys and treats. Obviously, we will have a supply of treats and poo bags, but we may have treats your dog doesn't like, or if they're not used to them, could make them ill. I'll always send you a packing list in your confirmation email.
  • We want to drop our dog off and collect, why can't we do that?
The safety and security of other dog guests and my family is my top priority. Having clients drop their dogs off, and collect them, can cause distress in the dogs which can create unwanted behaviours and territorial aggression. We find by collecting the dogs, with Milo and other boarding dogs, going for a brief walk, then heading home creates a much calmer and neutral environment for introducing the dog into our home.
